Sneak Peek at the Cover

I thought it would be fun to give you all a sneak preview of the cover that Joe Shawcross is working on. The sketch below shows three adventurers standing on the Old Docks with the boat-town of Flotsam in the foreground, and the Rajah’s Bridge, the Colossus, and the rooftops of the Imperial Quarter behind them. I think it looks awesome and I hope you do too. Of course, the full colour cover painting is going to look even better…..

In other news, I am pleased to confirm that two talented artists, Matt Morrow and Marc Radle, will be doing interior art for the book. Matt will be illustrating some of the key locations and city streets in Parsantium, while Marc will be contributing portraits of several important NPCs. I’m looking forward to seeing what they come up with!

  1. You came through thank you! Very cool and evocative cover…But being an annoying person and out of curiosity, is the view an artistic interpretation or does the things line up in that way in the city? It is just a question, because no matter what I will get that book, too cool to miss. Great work Rich.

    • Glad you like it! I worked with Joe to try and make this a realistic view from the Old Docks and Flotsam over to the Imperial Quarter – if you have a look at the city map, imagine that the adventurers are standing on one of the jetties there. I wanted to try and convey both the different cultures and the fact the city is divided by the Dolphin Strait but stay true to the map. I think Joe has done a great job in achieving this.
